Prayer for York
We invite you to pray with us for our city before Jesus the "living bread" (John 6:51) truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Come and talk to God who so loved the world (John 3:16) that He took flesh for you.

Friday 8th June
-Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus-
It's important to pray for the city we live in; to ask God's mercy and blessings on our city and those of us who live there. During 'Prayer for York' we do this by coming before Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament (the Eucharist) exposed on the altar. From 8am on Friday morning to 12pm on Saturday afternoon there will be a time of intense prayer for our city in St Wilfrid's church. We come to Jesus over an extended period, we tell Him our troubles, we tell Him we love Him, we tell Him we trust Him; and we consecrate ourselves and our city to Him.
